An Exploration in Presence

Welcome to art that functions in your daily life.

Welcome to Burrow&Bloom Pottery.

My name is Courtney, I created Burrow&Bloom Pottery as a way to connect my community to nature and to remind people: you deserve to be inspired by the items that fill your home. When I bought my home in 2022, I was immediately urged to fill the shelves with whatever I could get my hands on so that the space did not look so empty.

Then I realized, as I looked around at the items I had collected, that the pieces with stories were the ones that mattered most. The handmade products that I had made myself or that I had been gifted by friends or family. The items that brought nature into my home like wood, clay, or stone. I realized that the generic things from big-box-stores never sparked joy in me.

Slowly but surely, I created a home that was filled with handmade and unique items that were not only beautiful, but functional. I started having friends and family comment on what a stunning aesthetic filled my home. I decided it was time to provide to others what I provided myself. It was then that I started to produce ceramic goods for others.

Creating ceramics for people brings me the most profound joy. Elevate your interior design and daily ritual today with handmade goods that bring you into the present moment.

Now, Burrow&Bloom Pottery is not only about me producing handmade products to fill your home from start to finish. I am now offering classes and lessons so that you can fill your home with your own handmade pieces of art!

Whether you decide to join me for a paint-a-vase class at a local vineyard, take an online course on wheelthrowing, want to do a 4 or 8 week long group class on slab work, or want an individual lesson on the wheel, I am here to help you on your journey with this amazing art form. Ceramics can take so many different forms and it is such a joy for me to watch my students express their artistic voices through this medium. Look at the Events page for upcoming public events or inquire about upcoming classes through the Contact page.

I am so excited to see what we can create together,

Courtney
